Key Responsibilities
1. New Product Launch
- Serve as the site lead for new product introduction, partnering closely with PLM teams under the Product Commercialization Framework (PCF).
- Ensure smooth ramp-up of new production with strict adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
- Drive cross-functional alignment to mitigate risks and ensure successful commercialization.
2. Capital Project Management
- Lead site capital project management, including opportunity identification, project planning, and execution.
- Manage CapEx governance in compliance with company standards, including EcoSys execution and cost tracking.
- Provide technical guidance during project implementation and act as Project Team Leader (PTL) for strategic or leadership-assigned initiatives.
3. Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Act as the site focal point for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive Operation Excellence (OpEx) by identifying and implementing opportunities to improve manufacturing safety, quality, capability, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Apply CI methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) aligned with business strategy and site priorities.
4. Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Lead and coordinate the site PSM program in collaboration with Process Safety SMEs and operations teams.
- Act as a key reviewer and gatekeeper for process safety, ensuring compliance and striving for zero significant safety incidents.
- Promote a strong safety culture through proactive risk identification and mitigation.
5. Technical Support
- Provide expert technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting process issues, resolving equipment failures, and addressing quality concerns.
- Drive root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
6. Business & Cross-Site Collaboration
- Collaborate with global MT teams to share best practices and leverage technical expertise across sites.
- Support business strategy through knowledge transfer, benchmarking, and standardization of processes.
7. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by site leadership and global manufacturing technology leadership.
Qualifications
1. Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience within the company, or
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, maintenance, or project management.
3. Language Skills
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required for effective communication in a global and local environment.
4. Leadership & Communication
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels—from shop floor to senior leadership.
5. Continuous Improvement & Project Management Expertise
- Six Sigma certification (e.g., Green Belt or above) and/or Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
6. Working Style
- Hands-on, results-driven, and capable of balancing operational execution with strategic thinking.
7. Other Requirements
- Physically fit and able to meet the health and safety requirements of the role.
