Description

Leidos is seeking a Data Intelligence Analyst to support data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting complex information to identify trends, risks, vulnerabilities, and operational insights. This role combines advanced analytical skills, investigative research, quality assurance auditing, and executive-level communication to support organizational leadership. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional who excels in working with large datasets, developing meaningful visualizations, and translating technical findings into actionable recommendations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, gaps, anomalies, risks, and potential integrity concerns through statistical and analytical modeling techniques.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, charts, graphs, and other visual products using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other analytical tools to communicate findings effectively.
  • Conduct research using government databases, internal data systems, and open-source intelligence (OSINT) resources to support investigations, operational assessments, and strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare executive summaries, investigative reports, briefing materials, status reports, and presentations for senior leadership, including executive and Congressional stakeholders.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews and audits of work products, closed cases, management inquiries, and operational processes to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Identify emerging trends, systemic vulnerabilities, and operational risks by connecting information across multiple data sources and organizational functions.
  • Translate complex technical analyses into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations tailored to audiences ranging from technical staff to executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, program managers, analysts, investigators, and organizational leadership to support strategic initiatives and operational objectives.
  • Independently manage assigned projects, establish priorities, monitor timelines, and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.
  • Exercise sound judgment when evaluating sensitive information, recognizing anomalies, and determining when issues require escalation to management.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and appropriate handling of sensitive or restricted information.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
  • Clearance: Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Experience analyzing large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, gaps, and operational insights.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling, and analytical functions.
  • Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Power BI to create dashboards, visualizations, and interactive reports.
  • Experience working with databases, government information systems, or other enterprise data repositories.
  • Knowledge of open-source intelligence (OSINT) research methodologies and publicly available information sources.
  • Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce executive summaries, investigative reports, briefing documents, and formal correspondence.
  • Experience conducting quality assurance reviews, compliance audits, or performance evaluations.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with strong pattern recognition skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple organizational levels and functional areas.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines while working independently.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting federal government agencies or regulatory organizations.
  • Familiarity with aviation, transportation, law enforcement, inspections, investigations, or regulatory compliance programs.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, or other analytical programming languages.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality management, and business intelligence best practices.
  • Experience with automated reporting tools, workflow applications, or enterprise case management systems.
  • Experience preparing executive-level briefings for senior government officials.
