Role Overview
The Logistics Operations Assistant Manager will oversee logistics operations, warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution activities across the Visayas. The role is responsible for ensuring efficient inventory movement, maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing fleet and warehouse operations, and supporting timely product deliveries across the branch network.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee the movement of goods across warehouses and branch locations.
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficient storage, workplace safety, security, and optimal use of warehouse space.
- Supervise company-owned and outsourced delivery vehicles, including route planning, vehicle utilization, maintenance coordination, fuel monitoring, and delivery performance.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by overseeing cycle counts, physical stock takes, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure proper control and accountability of motorcycles, spare parts, accessories, documents, keys, and other company assets stored in warehouses.
- Monitor delivery performance and identify opportunities to improve route efficiency, truck utilization, and proof-of-delivery compliance.
- Track inventory movement, aging stock, damaged items, stock transfers, and goods in transit.
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers, trucking companies, shipping partners, and warehouse service providers.
- Monitor logistics-related expenses, including transportation, warehouse operations, freight, fuel, and handling costs.
- Lead and develop warehouse, logistics, fleet, dispatch, and inventory teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Recommend and implement process improvements, operational procedures, reporting tools, and business continuity initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of experience in logistics, warehousing, fleet operations, distribution, or inventory management.
- At least three (3) years of experience managing multiple warehouses, distribution sites, or a sizeable fleet.
- Solid background in inventory control, cycle counting, physical inventory, route optimization, fleet utilization, and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience managing both in-house and third-party transportation providers.
- Experience in motorcycle, automotive, retail, consumer goods, manufacturing, distribution, or other multi-site operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), fleet tracking, barcode technology, GPS, or transportation management systems is an advantage.
- Willing to travel regularly within the Visayas region.
