Description

Responsible for defining and executing Lean initiatives in line with the Spectris Business System (SBS)/Lean focus of the HBK organization. This continuous improvement program will be defined and implemented into the Strategy Deployment process in close cooperation with stakeholders in various departments. You will be part of the global HBK SBS board and work with colleagues around the globe to further influence and develop the SBS.

Daily work may include, but is not limited to:

  • Planning and scheduling strategic project tasks, overseeing day-to-day execution, and monitoring progress, with authority and responsibility from the Project Board
  • Leading the way on our SBS/Lean journey
  • Developing a Lean program around SQDIP
  • Sustaining and improving an Obeya Room
  • Implementing and maintaining Visual Management tools
  • Analyzing operational data to determine inefficiencies and develop corrective actions
  • Working with different leaders to develop our Lean culture to “best in class”
  • Challenge the company’s Lean thinking and develop visual ways of showing what great looks like
  • Reporting results to the SBS team across HBK (Portugal, Germany, China, Denmark, England)
  • Informing the site’s top management team on our Lean improvements

Knowledge And Skill Requirements
Have a minimum of 5 years of documented experience with Lean implementation and processes. Have a strong understanding of the high fives /continuous improvement methodologies utilizing SQDIP and how to introduce those initiatives into the manufacturing process. Experience running Kaizen events and delivering efficiency improvements through other Lean tools and approaches. A vision of where we need to go and delivering on execution. You must see yourself as a leader for the journey and lead by example.

  • Solid Lean background, on strategic, tactical, and operational levels
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (as a plus)
  • Able to set standards and continuously improve them
  • Comfortable speaking to members at all levels of the organization, and able to find the best communication format to help you with implementation
  • Experience implementing and driving Lean processes in manufacturing
  • Track record of successfully implementing Lean improvements in your organization
  • Able to see the bigger picture and know that the journey never ends
  • Experience leading without having formal leadership responsibility
  • Highly spirited and able to successfully motivate stakeholders
  • Good planning skills and ability to effectively multi-task
  • Able to develop and communicate a solid strategy
  • Change management comes naturally
  • Have a “can do” attitude and be able to do what it takes to succeed
