Professional Liability/Legal Malpractice Associate Attorney

Location & Workspace: Boston, MA | Hybrid or Remote

Join a nationally-recognized litigation practice representing attorneys, law firms, accountants, insurance professionals, design professionals, real estate professionals, and other licensed professionals in a broad range of malpractice, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, ethics, and professional responsibility matters. Attorneys in the group handle complex litigation in state and federal courts and regularly advise clients on risk management and claims avoidance strategies. This position offers significant responsibility, direct client interaction, hands-on litigation experience, and the opportunity to work closely with experienced trial attorneys on sophisticated matters.

What You Will Do:

  • Defend professional liability and malpractice claims through all phases of litigation.
  • Draft and argue motions, prepare pleadings, and manage written discovery.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare strategic case analyses.
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and client meetings.
  • Work with expert witnesses and consultants.
  • Assist with trial preparation and appellate matters.
  • Develop strong client relationships while working collaboratively with attorneys across offices and practice groups.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in professional liability, insurance defense, commercial litigation, or other complex civil litigation.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and good standing required; admission in other jurisdictions a plus.
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

What We Offer

Salary Range: The base salary for this position ranges from $135,000-$155,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
