Description
Join the Chatham County Magistrate Court as a Deputy Court Clerk II. Put your years of clerical or court-related experience to work for a great new career with Team Chatham.
- Perform administrative and quasi-legal work relating to the Court's operation.
- Assist the Deputy Court Administrators with both civil and criminal processes.
- Maintain evidence records and help the public, court officials, attorneys, and other County employees by telephone, in person, or by writing.
- Utilize your communication and customer service skills to perform all duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- At least one (1) year of experience as a Deputy Court Clerk I, or
- At least two (2) years of experience in a clerical role, preferably in a court-related environment; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute. Selected candidates will complete clerical testing as part of the final interview process.
