Are you an experienced maintenance professional who knows how to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machinery? BW Packaging is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician with strong CNC machine repair experience to help keep our manufacturing equipment running safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable diagnosing complex equipment issues and has experience working with Mazatrol and Fanuc CNC control systems.
What You’ll Do
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose CNC control system issues, with knowledge or experience working with Mazatrol and Fanuc controls strongly preferred.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and machine documentation to identify equipment faults and complete repairs.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on CNC machinery to improve equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production equipment, including forklifts, cranes, powered hand tools, and other facility equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent repair needs, prioritizing work based on safety, production impact, and business needs.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend improvements that increase machine reliability, performance, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records, work orders, repair history, and equipment documentation.
- Collaborate with machinists, production team members, and leaders to identify equipment concerns and support production needs.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to facility systems and building structures as needed.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while completing maintenance and repair activities.
- Follow all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Identify and address potential safety concerns with urgency while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines.
- Knowledge of CNC control systems, particularly Mazatrol and Fanuc controls, strongly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to diagnose machine failures using electrical schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance and responding to CNC machine breakdowns in a manufacturing environment
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance, CNC machine repair, machine technician, or related experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.
