Overview
Consider joining the Pennex family as a Machine Operator. The Machine Operator sets up and operates fabricating machines such as CNC machines, robotic cells, and punch presses that cut, shape, and bend aluminum pieces.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows processes and procedures to ensure quality product goes to the customer, such as part measurement, visual inspection for missing features/defects in parts
- Loads and unloads materials properly onto saws/fixtures
- Operates and troubleshoots CNC machines and robotic cells
- Uses quality equipment properly such as, gauges (pin gauges, Block gauges etc.), calipers, tape measure, square, feeler gauge, and CMM
- Follows part specific customer control plan in compliance with IATF/ISO certification
- Checks fluids and coolant level in machines to keep them at an optimal level
- Uses inventory system to make tickets and keeping track of quantities for precise inventory. Via. Pick, Raf, Triage material correctly.
- Responsible for meeting quoted rates and reporting if these rates are not being met
- Escalates any issues/questions to Lead or Supervisor.
- Reports any maintenance/quality issues to Lead and Supervisor.
- Performs job changeovers including tooling/hardware, machine or cell controller program and verify changeover completion
- Observes and analyzes tasks and processes to provide feedback for continuous improvement efforts
- Deposits scrap with associated alloy
- Performs tasks as given by Lead or Supervisor
- Other jobs as assigned
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical or Trade Degree or Certificate preferred
Experience

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Able to excel in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
- Motivated, self-driven, and eager to learn and apply new skills
- Physically able to lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, squat, stand and walk as needed throughout shift
- Consistently exhibits a positive, respectful attitude towards co-workers and customers
- Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available
- Regular attendance required
