The Opportunity

As a dedicated Portfolio Strategist (Intermediate Level), you will work within established guidelines and frameworks to assemble and review financial data. You will assist in conducting statistical studies and industry analyses, provide support in the implementation of portfolio strategies, and ensure that all activities are completed in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and laws.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Under general supervision, analyzes performance and structure of USAA institutional portfolios and presents analysis across CIO strategist and governance teams.

  • May assist with implementation of portfolio strategies.

  • Applies maturing knowledge and monitors financial markets and economic trends and assesses impact on assigned portfolios.

  • Applies maturing knowledge to provide financial advisory services supporting treasury operations, asset /liability management and capital management functions.

  • Performs moderately complex work assignments and problem resolution.

  • Collaborates with team members to resolve issues and to identify appropriate issues for escalation.

  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or quantitative field; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.

  • Up to 2 years of financial analysis experience.

  • Developing knowledge of investment portfolios.

  • Developing knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications.

What sets you apart:

  • US military experience gained through military service or gained as a military spouse / domestic partner.

  • Investment acumen and/or investment experience.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $77,120 - $147,390.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

 

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
