Description
At Franciscan Health, the RN Team Lead is responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment, care planning, medical care evaluation, and education by following established standards and practices. This position at Indiana Heart Physicians functions as a liaison between patients, staff, providers, and management also serves as a role model to staff. You'll provide clinical expertise, assists the manager with administrative duties such as overseeing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining records. You may also schedule surgeries and procedures, ensure all clinical information is collected and distributed to the correct department for surgery or procedure.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Leads daily function of the pacemaker or defibrillator clinic(s)
Analyzes data from a wide variety of cardiac devices identifying arrhythmias as well as pacing, sensing, or other device abnormalities in addition to evaluating appropriate or inappropriate device interventions for arrhythmias.
Reprograms devices as directed by physician to achieve optimal pacemaker performance.
Provides full diagnostic reports from external monitoring and device checks to allow for adequate provider follow-up and/or adjustment.
Manages patient enrollment, equipment requests, alert management, and patient education.
Performs device checks on patients, either in the office or trans-telephonically.
Troubleshoots missed transmissions including basic identification of poor monitor connectivity or other remote monitoring malfunctions and immediate contact of no-show patients to ensure rescheduling.
Uses clinical judgment to prioritize device alerts and abnormal transmissions per established policies and protocols and notifies physician or non-physician practitioners of urgent issues
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's Degree in Nursing; Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Required 2 years' experience as an RN working in Cardiovascular care; Preferred 2 years' experience working in Cardiovascular care or Critical Care
Required Registered Nurse (RN) license through the State Licensing Board
Required CPR-BLS certification (American Heart Association)
