Program Summary
KBR supports the operational needs of U.S. armed forces at Morón Air Base in Spain and several bases in Turkey. Our services ensure smooth operations, allowing Air Force and government personnel to focus on their missions. We provide program management, civil engineering, morale, welfare, and recreation support, among other essential services. Awarded by the Air Force Installation Contracting Center, our contract spans a five-year base period with three one-year options, reflecting our commitment to excellence and operational support.
Job Summary
To brief and debrief vehicle operators when vehicles are turned-in and picked up from Vehicle Maintenance. Must coordinate maintenance actions with mechanics and facilitate vehicle maintenance workload to prioritize daily maintenance activities. Will open and close vehicle work orders in the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS/DPAS) and maintain vehicle outgoing and Quality Assurance (QA) logs and provide supervision with metrics data and spreadsheets when required. Perform minor and major maintenance repairs on various types of heavy industrial and non-industrial Mil-Spec vehicles and equipment to include but not limited to, War Readiness Reserve Material (WRM), and standard Base Fleet vehicles. All vehicle repairs and maintenance will adhere to strict safety and environmental practices In Accordance With (IAW) host nation laws, Technical Orders, commercial manuals, Air Force instructions and Performance Work Statement (PWS) standards. Routine and recurring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all vehicles assigned must be maintained IAW all applicable standards, to include all associated records keeping and maintenance forms up to date. Occasionally will be exposed to inclement weather, hazardous work conditions, and prolonged periods of sitting, stooping and kneeling both indoors and outdoors. Perform all other associated duties as assigned including such collateral duties as supporting company special projects and other sections as required.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Must diagnose and perform maintenance on various types of industrial vehicle and non-vehicle War Readiness Reserve (WRM) equipment, and maintain vehicle records Air Force system ELMS
- Must remove, disassemble, repair or replace components, assemblies and or subassemblies and reinstalls as required to maintain Military vehicles in safe operating conditions
- Must Inspect and repair industrial and commercial design base maintenance, material handling, special purpose and general-purpose vehicles to include tractors and trailers of all types
- Must repair / replace vehicle valves, chains, lift cylinders, clutches, transmissions, brakes, and engine components
- Must perform scheduled maintenance and oil and filter changes on Government fleet vehicles and equipment
- Will be tasked to perform functional tests and repairs on water and fuel pumping, and electrical systems
- Must diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on forklifts, towing equipment, gasoline/diesel-powered engines
- Will be required to perform 24-hour on call Standby duties when required
- Shall input vehicle maintenance data into Air Force systems, complete vehicle parts request and coordinate with Material Control section to identify parts required to accomplish vehicle repairs
- Maintains good housekeeping and adhere to Company safety practices.
- Daily use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to complete reports, tasks, and communicate with customers and co-workers
Basic Qualifications
- Must have at least four years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and mechanical repair field
- Must be officially trained in vehicle maintenance practices and / or vehicle mechanics
- Must have ability to communicate in Spanish and speak, read, write, and understand English level 2
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience as an administrative worker
- Spanish Class B driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver’s license or higher
- Five years of experience in office administrative work
- Five years of experience in a Vehicle Maintenance environment
