Overview
As an Associate on the US Custody Team, you will be responsible for trade settlement and payment transactions for various clients at Deutsche Bank. You will have the opportunity to work closely with internal front office partners as well as other business units to help bring projects forward. You will interact with various security depositories to help support access to US security transactions for global clients.

What You’ll Do
Manage the end-to-end clearing and settlement process, ensuring smooth and timely market settlement of securities and cash transfers between the Bank and its counterparties via Swift messages and wire payments
Interact with internal and external stakeholders, including front office, clients, brokers, nostro agents, exchanges, clearing houses, and IT vendors, to support the clearing and settlement process and coordinate project-related tasks
Oversee settlement date processes, including pre-matching and confirmation, trade processing, cash transfer, instruction routing, depot and inventory management, funding, and settlement monitoring
Support post-settlement processes, including break management, billing, and asset services events such as dividends, interest, stock splits, and maturities to ensure timely client payments
Investigate position holdings, share transfer requests, and paperwork requirements with transfer agents
Skills You’ll Need
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent), with detail orientation and strong time management skills
Swift and US settlement market knowledge, including Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and the US Federal Reserve (Fed)
Ability to work well within a team and on independent projects as needed
Microsoft Excel knowledge, with project and testing experience
Experience with external vendors
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs

It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jackonville, FL office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $48,000 to $74,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
