About the Role

Great Lakes Honda is looking for a motivated and personable Automotive Acquisition Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for finding, evaluating, and acquiring quality vehicles while building positive relationships with vehicle owners.

The ideal candidate is confident with communicating with customers, comfortable negotiating, and passionate about the automotive industry. If you enjoy working with people, know your way around vehicles, and are motivated by results, this could be a great opportunity for you.

 Responsibilities

• Contact vehicle owners and generate opportunities to purchase vehicles
• Build relationships with customers and provide a professional buying experience
• Inspect and evaluate vehicles for condition, value, and marketability
• Research vehicle values and current market trends
• Negotiate purchase prices and complete vehicle acquisitions
• Follow up with leads and potential sellers
• Maintain accurate customer and vehicle information
• Work with management and other departments to coordinate purchases
• Meet individual and team acquisition goals
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the acquisition process

Requirements

Qualifications

• Automotive sales, purchasing, appraisal, or dealership experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable negotiating and discussing pricing
• Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Basic knowledge of vehicles, automotive terminology, and vehicle values is a plus
