Plant Manager
Pendergrass, Georgia Premix Facility
The Plant Manager will lead the production function at our Premix plant with a team of 9 direct reports and 19 indirect reports. We seek a visible leader who will plan, coordinate, and manage the production of custom premixes and distribution of our animal nutrition and health products. Be part of our growth journey! You’ll report directly to the Director Premix Operations for Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH).
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the manufacturing and maintenance plan for the premix plant and provide SHE and Quality leadership
- Set the strategy and direction for the premix plant (single year and multi-year) in line with the DSM ANH mission for World Class Operations
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas of the plant to build overall operational efficiencies, plant reliability and asset utilization
- Develop and coach the team, setting expectations and ensuring accountability throughout the plant
- Select, manage, coach and develop staff to improve engagement and retention

You Bring:
- Minimum 10 years of operations/manufacturing experience required
- Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience within an ISO certified and/or cGMP regulated environment required
- Experience directly managing others required with proven leadership skills with ability to coach and develop team members
- Prior experience as a Plant/Site Manager and/or Production unit or department operations manager required (external only)
- Prior experience as a Plant/Site Manager and/or Production unit or department operations manager preferred (internal only)
- Experience with continuous improvement and plant debottlenecking highly desirable
- Able to coordinate team efforts and keep the group informed and organized
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in a discipline of Engineering is preferred
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will bebased on the applicant’s job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location. Salary: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00.
