Job Summary:

The Dairy Grocery Associate is responsible for maintaining the dairy section of the store to ensure it runs efficiently and meets all quality, safety, and sanitation standards. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Duties include stocking and rotating refrigerated dairy products, monitoring expiration dates and temperatures, cleaning dairy cases and coolers, and ensuring product availability and presentation. The Dairy Grocery Associate maintains a high level of customer service while pricing, stocking, rotating, and ensuring proper handling of perishable dairy merchandise. The associate must maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing dairy department at all times.

Requirements

Responsibilities: 

• Maintains the dairy section to ensure it operates efficiently and meets quality standards.
 • Provides prompt, courteous, and professional customer service.
 • Stocks, prices, and rotates dairy products, ensuring proper handling of perishable items and adherence to    expiration dates.
 • Maintains cleanliness and organization of dairy cases, shelves, coolers, and storage areas.
   • Monitors refrigeration and cooler temperatures and reports issues to management.
 • Ensures shelves and displays are fully stocked, faced, and visually appealing.
 • Follows all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
 • Handles damaged or expired products according to company policy.
 • Uses department equipment safely and reports maintenance issues as needed.
 • Assists the Department Manager and supports team operations as required.
 • Complies with all company policies, dress code, training requirements, and attendance standards.
 • Performs other duties as assigned.
 • Non-slip shoes are mandatory for a safe working environment (company does not provide).

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.
• Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation is a must.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and kneeling throughout the shift
• Clear vision and hearing to ensure safety, accuracy, and effective communication
• Ability to climb step stools or ladders as needed
• Must be able to work on weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as scheduled
