Lead Assembly Trainer
KZ Valve, LLC – Greenwood, NE

Summary:

The Lead Assembly Trainer is responsible for supporting daily production operations while serving as a technical resource and point of coordination for production team members. This role helps ensure production goals, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational objectives are achieved through workflow efficiency. The Lead Assembly Trainer provides guidance, training and support to other employees on the team.

Description:
•    Coordinate daily workflow and assist with prioritizing work to meet production schedules and order demands.
•   Helps to create and maintain an environment that supports IDEX’s core values.
•    Serve as a resource for team members by providing technical guidance, answering questions, and sharing best practices.
•    Monitor workflow activities and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
•    Implement expectations to meet quality and productivity requirements and follow work in process closely to ensure conformance, including ISO 9001 procedures.
•    Investigate processes that are out of conformance and partner with management to take corrective action.
•   Act as a technical subject matter expert for department employees.
•    Ensure work assignments are being completed effectively, assisting employees to resolve production problems.
•   Work closely with others in Manufacturing Operations to ensure compliance with the established
Manufacturing Procedures.
•    Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
•   Maintain accurate documentation and reports as required.
•   Perform preventative maintenance on test equipment and fixtures as assigned.
•   Ability to read prints
•   Ability to use hand tools
•   Excellent verbal and written communications skills
•   Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
•   Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

•   High school diploma or GED preferred.
•    Minimum 1 (one) year of experience formally or informally leading teams in a manufacturing/assembly environment
•    3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or operational environment preferred. 

•   Ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities is required.
•   Experience upholding quality standards in an ISO 9001 environment preferred.

Position Details:
•   Full-Time, non-exempt position
•   6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday 10hrs or 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Tuesday-Friday 10hrs
•    This position requires flexibility to work on varying schedules, including overtime to meet business needs.
•   Position reports to the Production Manager

Supervisory Responsibilities:

•    None, but this position serves as a subject matter expert in the assembly area and will provide guidance and support as well as prioritize the daily workflow in collaboration with the planning department and management.
