Position Summary
Perimeter Behavioral Hospital of Arlington is seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Full-Time Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, families, and staff. The Receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment while providing administrative and clerical support to ensure efficient front-office operations.
Required Schedule
- Wednesday-Friday: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday-Sunday: 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Important: Candidates must be available to work the schedule listed above and attend orientation and training during regular business hours for the first two weeks of employment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors while maintaining facility visitor procedures and safety protocols.
- Answer and route incoming calls through a multi-line switchboard in a courteous and professional manner.
- Utilize paging systems and communicate effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Maintain visitation records and monitor compliance with visitor policies.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to various departments, including Admissions, as assigned.
- Assist with data entry, filing, and document management.
- Support patient and employee requests in a professional manner.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient, employee, and organizational information.
- Participate in required training, quality improvement initiatives, and department meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous receptionist, clerical, or customer service experience preferred.
- At least six months of front desk or receptionist experience preferred.
- Behavioral health or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with computers and standard office software.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
Certifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- De-escalation Training: Handle With Care (HWC) certification.
