THE OPPORTUNITY

We're looking for a Corporate HR Generalist to join our Corporate Human Resources team and help support the continued growth and development of our HR function.

In this role, you'll work closely with the Corporate HR Manager across a broad range of HR responsibilities, including the employee lifecycle, HR systems, policies and processes, benefits and leave administration, compliance, reporting, and company-wide HR initiatives.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the day-to-day work of HR and the opportunity to help build and improve how HR operates. You'll take ownership of assigned responsibilities, partner on key Corporate HR projects, and help create consistent processes and experiences across the organization.

The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating conflict with professionalism, takes time to thoughtfully evaluate situations before making decisions, and thrives in an environment of change and variety. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a highly precise and quality-focused approach to work, and the ability to respectfully challenge assumptions while maintaining strong working relationships. Success in this position comes from maintaining high standards, exercising sound judgment, and approaching work with discipline, accuracy, and technical expertise.

Although this position is based in Humble, TX, the role is part of Corporate HR and supports the organization.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR programs, policies, processes, and systems.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, documentation, and HR files while ensuring appropriate confidentiality and compliance.
  • Assist with employee communications and other day-to-day Corporate HR activities as needed.

HR Systems, Data & Reporting

  • Support the Corporate HR Manager with HRIS administration, optimization, and implementation initiatives.
  • Manage assigned HRIS processes and employee data changes while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Assist with system testing, data validation, process documentation, training, and implementation activities.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc HR reports and assist with analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, streamline, or automate HR processes through technology.

Policies, Processes & Compliance

  • Assist with researching, drafting, updating, and implementing company-wide HR policies, SOPs, guidelines, templates, and processes.
  • Research HR and employment-related topics, evaluate information, and bring forward thoughtful recommendations.
  • Support company-wide compliance initiatives, required employee training, and other HR compliance activities.
  • Help maintain consistent HR processes and practices across the organization.
  • Maintain organized HR documentation, resources, and process materials to support consistancy and knowledge sharing.

Benefits & Leave

  • Support the administration of employee benefit and leave programs, including employee communications, documentation, tracking, system updates, and follow-through.
  • Serve as a resource for employee benefit and leave questions and coordinate with vendors and internal partners as needed.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment, benefit communications, system testing, and ongoing program administration.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve benefit and leave processes and the employee experience.

Corporate HR Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the Corporate HR Manager with company-wide HR initiatives, including HRIS implementation, policy and process development, compliance initiatives, reporting, and other Corporate HR priorities.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and workstreams, independently determine appropriate next steps, and drive deliverables through completion.
  • Proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement and recommend practical solutions.
  • Assist with developing and implementing improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, scalability, and the employee and manager experience.
  • Track assigned projects, deliverables, and action items and proactively communicate progress, risks, and follow-up needs.

HR Partnership

  • Build strong working relationships with employees, leaders, HR colleagues, and cross-functional partners across the organization.
  • Collaborate with plant HR teams to share knowledge, resources, and best practices and support consistent company-wide HR processes.
  • Provide guidance on routine HR matters and use sound judgment to determine when additional partnership or escalation is appropriate.
  • Communicate proactively, share information, and contribute to a collaborative and aligned HR team.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field required.
  • 4–6 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a Generalist or Corporate HR environment.
  • Broad working knowledge across the employee lifecycle, HRIS, benefits, leave administration, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, works autonomously, and takes ownership with minimal day-to-day direction.
  • Ability to take an assignment, determine what needs to be done, ask the right questions, and drive work through completion.
  • Strategic and solutions-oriented thinker with the ability to research issues, assess options, and bring forward thoughtful recommendations.
  • Strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills with demonstrated follow-through and the ability to manage competing priorities.
