Custom Castings is a member of the Nordstern Group of Companies, which also includes Protek Surface Technologies, Forte Tooling Technologies, and Sure Cast Aluminum Foundry. We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Mechanic/Technician to join our fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:
- CNC machines
- Melting furnaces
- Overhead cranes
- Hydraulic systems and pneumatic tools
- Casting machinery and auxiliary equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Fabricate parts using welding techniques (MIG, TIG); modify or create custom components as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections, adjust machinery and document maintenance activities.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly and efficiently — day or night, weekday or weekend, when required. (Additional)
- Assist in the design and execution of custom jigs, fixtures, safety guards, and machine upgrades.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of equipment, including:
What You Bring:
- Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright Certificate (or equivalent trade certification) is considered an asset.
- Proven experience in equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial or manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail is considered an asset.
- Standard tool set available.
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting pumps, valves, and cylinders.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 40 lbs of equipment and work in tight or elevated spaces.
