Mexico - Homebased

As a Study Manager at ICON, you will lead the day-to-day operational management of clinical studies, ensuring delivery to agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget in collaboration with cross-functional teams and sponsors.

What You Will Do:

Your focus will be on coordinating clinical trial management delivery, resolving issues, and developing team capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the planning, execution, and close-out of assigned clinical studies in line with protocols, ICH-GCP, and applicable regulations.
  • Leading cross-functional study teams, coordinating activities across start-up, enrolment, monitoring, and data cleaning.
  • Serving as the primary operational point of contact for sponsors at study level, providing regular status updates and managing expectations.
  • Developing and maintaining study timelines, risk registers, and action plans to ensure proactive issue management.
  • Monitoring key performance metrics and implementing corrective and preventive actions as needed.
  • Ensuring study documentation is complete, accurate, and inspection-ready throughout the study lifecycle.
  • Develop, maintain, and actively manage site engagement plans, including country/site-level strategies, engagement cadence, and escalation triggers.
  • Proactively track and drive completion of all required actions across CTLs, SELs, and cross-functional teams, ensuring accountability and timely execution.
  • Ensure alignment and effective collaboration across Clinical Operations, Project Management, and Patient Recruitment functions .

Your Profile:

You will have solid clinical trial management experience, with the ability to manage competing priorities and develop your team.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Strong experience in clinical study management or project management within CRO, pharma, or biotech.
  • Good understanding of clinical trial operations, GCP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • 2 – 5 years in clinical trial operations, with direct exposure to site engagement, CTL, CRA, site operations or patient recruitment functions.
  • Demonstrated experience working on global, multi-country trials.
  • Proven ability to operate within matrix environments across Clinical, PM, and sponsor teams.
  • Prior experience contributing to or supporting customer-facing deliverables or governance meetings.
  • English Advanced
