Location: Epsom, Surrey
Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 DOE
Permanent | Full time | Flexible working
Hybrid / based in an office 3 days a week

Technical Partners are currently working with a leading engineering organisation operating within the nuclear and power sector, supporting the delivery of complex, technically challenging and safety-critical projects.
We are looking to speak with Electrical Engineers who are looking to develop their careers within a highly technical, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to gain exposure to major projects across the nuclear and energy sector, working across the full engineering lifecycle from feasibility and concept through to FEED, detailed design, construction, commissioning and operational support.
You will work alongside experienced engineers and industry specialists, developing your technical expertise while contributing to projects that play an important role in the UK's future energy infrastructure.
The Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide electrical engineering support across a variety of projects and will be involved in areas including:
- Developing electrical engineering requirements, specifications and design deliverables.
- Supporting feasibility studies, concept design, FEED and detailed design activities.
- Producing engineering calculations, technical reports, drawings and design documentation.
- Designing and substantiating MV and LV power distribution networks.
- Supporting the specification and selection of electrical plant and equipment.
- Contributing to electrical system studies and design assurance activities.
- Providing engineering input into safety-critical decision-making.
- Supporting construction, installation, commissioning and operational activities.
- Contributing to condition monitoring and asset management activities.
- Participating in safety and assurance activities, including HAZOP, HAZAN and FMEA.
- Supporting testing and witnessing activities.
- Participating in technical and design reviews.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and other key stakeholders.
- Providing technical support and resolving engineering queries throughout project delivery.
- Working across different disciplines and adapting to new technical challenges.
- Travelling occasionally to client sites and secure facilities where required.
About You
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer with a strong technical foundation and an interest in developing a career within the nuclear, power or wider regulated engineering sectors.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
- An understanding of electrical engineering design and its application within complex or regulated environments.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- An understanding of electrical systems and power distribution.
- The ability to produce clear, accurate and high-quality engineering designs and technical reports.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical judgement and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative and adaptable approach.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
- An interest in working towards professional registration / Chartered Engineer status.
Experience within the nuclear, energy, power, defence, process or other safety-critical industries would be advantageous, although candidates from other complex engineering environments will also be considered.
