Description
Project Manager / Estimator | Heavy Civil & Underground Utilities
Denver Metro | $100K–$140K | No Overnight Travel
If you can build the number, win the work, and then run the project, this is the kind of role where you can own the entire process.
Brannan is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator with strong heavy civil experience and a background in underground wet utilities. This isn't an estimating role that hands the job off after award, and it isn't a PM role where someone else built the bid.
You'll own projects from bid to closeout.
Why Work With Us
- $100K–$140K
- Denver Metro projects
- No overnight travel
- Monday–Friday, in-office
- Established heavy civil contractor with a strong local presence
- High level of ownership from estimating through project completion
- Work hard, play hard culture
- Fun, social, outgoing team that genuinely enjoys working together
- Strong leadership without being micromanaged
You'll report directly to Division Manager Luke Lopez, who brings a hands-off, trust-but-verify leadership style. He's approachable, supportive, and a strong mentor who gives his team room to do their jobs.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll manage your projects from bid through closeout, so you need to be equally comfortable estimating the work and managing it once it's awarded.
- Estimate heavy civil and underground utility projects
- Perform takeoffs, pricing and bid preparation
- Review plans, specifications and project requirements
- Develop competitive bids and proposals
- Manage awarded projects from kickoff through completion
- Own budgets, schedules, forecasting and cost control
- Coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors and clients
- Manage change orders, RFIs and project documentation
- Track production, costs and overall project performance
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities and project partners
- Drive projects through successful closeout
What You Bring
- Strong Project Management AND Estimating experience
- Underground wet utility experience is a must
- Heavy civil construction background
- Experience estimating and managing projects from bid through closeout
- Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities and civil construction
- Experience with Bluebeam
- Experience with B2W/Bid2Win or similar estimating software
- Strong financial understanding of project budgets, costs and forecasting
- Confident communicator who works well with both field and office teams
- Self-motivated, accountable and comfortable operating with autonomy
The Personality Fit Matters
This isn't a buttoned-up, heads-down team where everyone disappears into their office.
The group is social, outgoing, hardworking and fun. They take the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously.
If you're someone who works hard, owns your projects, enjoys the people you work with and doesn't need someone looking over your shoulder every five minutes, you'll fit right in.
To Apply
If you're a heavy civil PM/Estimator with underground wet utility experience and want a Denver-based opportunity where you can own your work from the first takeoff through final closeout, let's talk.
