Responsibilities
The Genetic Counselor provides genetic counseling, test coordination, and follow-up for patients. The incumbent supports referring providers & clinical team, provides genetics education and outreach, and engages in genetics program activities.Qualifications
Education- Master’s Degree Genetic Counseling or equivalent program from an ABGC or ABMG accredited training program Required
- 1 year Genetic counseling experience Required
- Work experience in job specific field Preferred
- Experience with Epic and Progeny software Preferred
- ABGC - American Board of Genetic Counseling Board Certified in Genetic Counseling by the American Board of Genetic Counseling Upon Hire Required and
- Genetic Counselor License for the State of Georgia Upon Hire Required
