This is a full-time position with benefits.Responsibilities of Surgical AssistantPrepare the operatory and equipmentGreet and escort patients to and from the treatment roomPrepare the patient for surgery or examinationMaintain awareness of patients’ comfort and safety needsRecord treatment information in the patient’s chartAssist the doctor by passing instruments, aspirating intra-oral fluids, and taking photographsTake radiographs as directed by the doctorProvide post-operative care to patients as directed by the doctorCommunicate with other essential team members to coordinate patient flow and comfortMaintain a clean and organized work areaRequirements of Surgical AssistantCPR and First Aid certificationValid X-ray certificateSustained positivity and energy throughout the dayCommunicate clearly with patients and all team membersAttention to detailProfessionalismCompensation and BenefitsWage: $22–$28 per hour (DOE)90-day review and wage assessment, with potential for an increase36-40 hour work weekHealth insurance benefits available after 30 days; all other benefits are eligible after a 90-day probationary period5 days of sick pay per year5 paid holidaysMedical, vision, and dental insurance available401(k) employer contributionWe believe that all patients deserve to experience a better life by having their oral health restored to ideal health.
