  • Safety & Compliance: Participate in pre-operative briefings, "time-outs," and rigorous sponge, needle, and instrument counts throughout procedures.

  • Efficiency: Facilitate fast room turnovers, perform light housekeeping, restock supplies, and pull case carts to maintain operational flow.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.

  • Certification: Valid Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) required at hire.

  • Life Support: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of full-time, current open-heart/cardiovascular experience acting in the primary scrub role.

  • Skills: Mastery of aseptic techniques, deep knowledge of OR machinery, and the ability to maintain composure during high-stress surgical events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of scrubbing experience across various surgical specialties in an inpatient/ambulatory O.R. environment.

  • Proven ability to manage sterile core areas, reprocess complex instrumentation, and handle inventory management.
