RI Operations (Post Placement)

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Must be from the Insurance Broking / Reinsurance / General Insurance
• 5+ years of experience in Reinsurance Operations / RI Broking / Post Placement Activities.
• Good understanding of Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance processes.
• Good working knowledge of reinsurance terminology, documentation and processes.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage end-to-end post-placement operations for Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance business.
• Coordinate with placement teams, cedants, reinsurers and internal stakeholders for smooth execution after placement.
• Prepare, review and process reinsurance slips, contracts, confirmations, endorsements, debit/credit notes and other documentation.
• Follow up with reinsurers for confirmation of terms, contract documentation and final policy documents.
• Ensure timely issuance and closure of reinsurance documentation in line with agreed terms.
• Handle premium accounting, premium settlement, receivables/payables and reconciliation with clients and reinsurers.
• Coordinate with finance/accounts teams for premium collection, remittance and settlement.
• Maintain and process reinsurance bordereaux and statements of accounts.
• Track outstanding documentation, premiums, claims and other operational deliverables.
• Coordinate with claims teams and reinsurers for reinsurance claims processing and recoveries.
• Process and track policy amendments, cancellations, endorsements and adjustments.
• Ensure accurate allocation of premiums, commissions, brokerage and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile reinsurance accounts and investigate discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is updated in internal systems.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required reinsurance documentation and transaction records.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements and agreed service-level timelines.
• Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements to improve accuracy, turnaround time and service quality.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Graduate / Post Graduate in Business, Commerce, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as IRDAI licensing, Associate/Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India (III), CII (UK), or AIRM are an added
