Newark, Delaware | $41,600/year + $3,120 flat commission
Full Time | Hybrid, 2 days/week in office | 40 hours/week

You’ll work with customers who have outstanding accounts, helping them understand their options and establish appropriate payment arrangements. The role combines communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and attention to detail, with opportunities to grow your career.
What you’ll be doing
- Manage a portfolio of assigned delinquent accounts.
- Contact debtors by phone, email, and written correspondence regarding outstanding debts and payment options.
- Negotiate and establish payment arrangements.
- Document collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements accurately and in compliance with federal regulations.
- Provide respectful, professional customer service while addressing questions and concerns.
- Use skip tracing tools and techniques to locate difficult-to-reach debtors.
What you’ll need
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0 to 1 year of experience in collections or related customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, persuasion, and active listening skills.
- Ability to handle difficult conversations and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Strong organization and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to work flexible days, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Ability to obtain the required collection license upon placement.
- Familiarity with collections software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of debt collection laws and compliance requirements is a plus.
Schedule
The position is hybrid, with 2 days per week in the Newark, Delaware office.
After training, schedules may include:
- 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Management will assign shifts based on business needs, so candidates should be comfortable with the available schedules.
