Your future contribution
As a Junior People Operations Manager, you will be the operational backbone of our day-to-day HR workflows and help us build the automation layer of People Operations. Our team keeps HomeToGo's people processes accurate, compliant, and trusted across the business, and we want to go further: quicker answers for our colleagues, less repetition in the day-to-day, and more room for the work that needs real judgment.
Your attention to detail, hands-on mentality, and ability to work well both in a team and independently will help you take on a variety of people-related projects and make a real difference to how our HomeToGoers experience their day-to-day. You'll also bring an AI-native mindset to a function that today still runs on a lot of manual work — there's plenty to automate, and we're looking for someone who naturally spots those opportunities.
How you’ll add value
Own the core daily administration of our workforce and our on- and offboarding from end to end.
Make our most common employee requests noticeably faster to resolve by turning the highest-volume topics into self-serve or automated workflows.
Spot friction and build automations that turn our daily administrative experience into improvements - using AI tools to automate high-volume requests and streamline repetitive admin tasks
Become a confident second pair of eyes on our monthly payroll process.
Document what you build, so anyone on the team can run and extend it.
Help lift the team's AI capability, so automation becomes a shared habit rather than one person's side project.
You’ll be successful in this role if you
Build with AI. You have made something work, not just used a tool: an automation, an agent, a prompt library, a document generator, a workflow that saved someone time. It can come from your professional experience, your studies, or your own time outside of work. We care what you built and how you worked it out, far more than where you did it.
Bring People Ops exposure or relevant studies. Either time in a People or HR team (as a working student/intern or junior role) or a degree in HR.
Show sound judgment. You can say which work deserves automating and which needs a person, and defend the line.
Demonstrate learning velocity. You can walk us through unfamiliar ground you took on: the assumptions you started with, what you tested, what you dropped, and what changed your mind.
Take ownership. You carry a problem to completion rather than to the point of handover, and you fix small things without waiting for permission.
Bring precision and discretion. You show meticulous attention to detail in repetitive tasks and maintain total confidentiality regarding sensitive information, such as compensation, exits, and personal matters, which you'll handle regularly.
Have a service instinct. You genuinely like helping colleagues, and you treat a clear answer to a small question as a meaningful part of your work.
Speak German and English. German at B2 or above, alongside excellent written and spoken English.
Nice to have
German labour law. Any grounding in it.
HRIS experience. Any system, with Personio a clear plus.
Enabling others. You have taught someone else to work with AI, or documented something well enough that others adopted it.
