Job Description:
Your responsibilities will include:
Support in startup and technology scouting, including in-depth research on deep-tech areas, and assessment of technology maturity (TRL), as well as curating and classifying dealflow opportunities against Ferrovial’s business challenges (Construction, Toll Roads, Airports, Energy, Data Centers).
Design, development and maintenance of low-code automations and agentic AI workflows (Python, n8n, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Airtable, Microsoft Forms, SharePoint, etc.) to streamline dealflow sourcing, curation, reporting and other Open Innovation processes.
Support in assessing and re-defining Ferrovial’s Open Innovation funnel, leveraging automation and AI agents to increase its efficiency, speed and scalability.
Management and continuous update of the startup and investor portfolio in our internal CRM (SRM – Startup Relationship Management), including data enrichment, reporting, and use of specialized investment research platforms.
Support in organizing corporate venturing programs and coordinating relationships with Venture Capital funds.
Aid in participation at ecosystem events, scouting trips, and their reporting (South Summit, SXSW, CES, 4YFN, Slush, Ecomotion, etc.), including mapping and analysis of innovation ecosystems in specific cities.
Collaboration in creating communication content (internal/external) about ecosystem activities (news, one-pagers, blog posts, presentations, newsletters, social media messages, etc.).
Our ideal profile:
Higher university degree in Engineering/Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry or similar.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to research and synthesize technology and market information.
Excellent communication abilities.
Creativity with an interest in new technologies.
Solid knowledge of Python and hands-on experience with automation and agentic AI platforms (Power Automate, n8n, Copilot Studio, Airtable) will be highly valued.
Previous experience in the startup ecosystem and innovation project management (especially evaluating technological solutions) will be valued.
Autonomy, teamwork, proactivity, customer orientation, and ability to propose solutions to complex problems.
Adaptability to change, ability to work under pressure, and commitment to meeting demanding deadlines.
Advanced user level in MS Office 365.
High level of English is essential (minimum C1).
