Millwright and General Maintenance

Description

This critical role involves working across both indoor and outdoor environments, with a primary focus on ensuring operational efficiency by quickly responding to, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment failures.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in HVAC, machining, or general manufacturing, coupled with strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities. This position has growth potential for the right candidate. 

This is a first shift position, with hours from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

The Millwright will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations. 

Requirements

  Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ensures proper operation of industrial equipment.

· Disassembles or dismantles machines. 

· Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints.

· Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise. 

· Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on older machines. 

· Helps conduct safety inspections of facilities. 

· Performs general facility maintenance.

· Performs troubleshooting of mechanical and pneumatic equipment.

· Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

· Thorough and broad understanding of a variety of equipment.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. 

· Ability to use various hand tools.

· Ability to use micrometers, calipers and other measuring devices.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Thorough understanding of safety practices, guidelines, rules, and laws. 

· Must be self-motivated with strong time management skills.

· Must have effective communication skills.

· Must work well individually and in a team environment.

· Must be able to work safely.

· Machining, welding and fabricating skills preferred.
