JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Assembly Operator in Huntsville, AL. Our client is a leading manufacturer of advanced technology and electronic products. The The Assembler Operator will be responsible for performing manual Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and automated testing on ADTRAN products as well as assembling product while ensuring quality performance accuracy.

Responsibilities of a Assembly Operator include:

• Follow written manual Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) and automated tests on products to ensure quality performance and functional operation.
• Use of tools for assembly build. Utilize Mechanical assembly drawings, diagrams and following written work instructions and process sheets.
• Assemble cardboard boxes and packaging materials. Pack product according to written instructions. Loading boxes onto pallets and moving pallets with a pallet-jack.
• Work on “semi-routine” assignments and be able to recognize and indicate where any deviation from accepted practices is required.
• Adhere to general instructions for routine work. Adhere to detailed instructions for new assignments.
• Prompt and regular attendance is required to ensure continuous and quality workflow.
• Other duties as requested to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 2 - 5 years prior manufacturing experience required.
• Understanding of basic electronic component handling and ESD (Electro-static Discharge).
• Applicant must possess both oral and written skills to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and to comprehend written and verbal instructions. Applicant must be self motivated and be able to work as a team member in a continuous improvement environment.
