Our Procurement is organized in a global matrix with our CPO based in Germany. If you are a creative mind and enjoy shaping system landscapes, while focusing on process compliance and workability, you should join our team as (Sr.) Project Manager – Procurement Systems (m/f/d).
What you will do
- Manage the implementation of procurement systems and digital solutions
- Transfer the procurement digitalization strategy and roadmap into short-, mid- und long-term milestones
- Define future-ready and integrated processes, systems and AI-driven automation across different procurement categories
- Drive complex, cross-functional system initiatives and projects, ensuring effective stakeholder communication and timely resolution of critical issues
- Be accountable for procurement process standardization, policies & procedures, global deployment, and translate processes into system requirements
- Focus on value delivery, ensuring system and process transformation initiatives drive measurable improvements
- Apply project management skills and change management according to various stakeholder needs (including senior management)
- Cooperate cross-functionally with global IT and Sourcing teams and jointly ensure system enhancement projects while balancing effort vs. benefit
- Collaborate with a global team of system & process enthusiasts and regularly engage with a global P2P manager network • Prepare and lead global management steering meetings for decision propositions
- Make informed decisions in complex environments, balancing business needs and technical feasibility
What you will need
- University degree in IT, business administration, management, supply chain or related subject
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in an international environment
- Proven track record in IT project management and leading large scale transformation projects
- Strong understanding of system implementations and system architecture
- Experience with piloting, implementing and scaling AI-driven use cases for sourcing automation
- Deep understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and integrated system landscape • Strong understanding of data structure, data flows and data governance
- Ability to translate processes into effective system requirements
- Experience in leading global project teams
- Strong communication and change management skills with various stakeholders incl. top management
- Ability to prioritize and work independently on multiple activities simultaneously
- Be highly adaptable to dynamic environment with self-starter attitude
- Strive to drive, are very structured and organized
- A curious, enthusiastic, driven and determined character, embracing change and aiming for innovation and out of the box thinking
- Problem-solving mindset
- Solid presentation skills
- Excellent English-speaking skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally (~ 5-10%)
