What we do

Merantix Momentum, part of the Merantix Group, is a Berlin-based AI startup focusing on accelerating AI adoption across many industries through B2B solutions as well as publicly funded research projects. We work across domains including manufacturing, public sector, healthcare and more, transforming businesses as an external machine learning department using our core expertise in state-of-the-art machine learning combined with a culture of rapid iteration.

Your role

The central mission of this role is supporting the managing directors in strategic growth initiatives from research to execution. This is not a shadow role. You will own tasks end-to-end, move fast, and get things done.

Main responsibilities

• Growth Strategy: Develop and pressure-test strategic options for growth, including new markets, segments, offerings, and business models. Build the analytical basis for leadership decisions.

• Market & Opportunity Assessment: Run structured deep dives into markets, verticals, and emerging technologies. Size opportunities, assess strategic fit, and deliver clear go/no-go recommendations.

• Competitive & Market Intelligence: Build and own our view of the competitive landscape, including positioning, pricing, and capabilities. Identify threats and white spaces early.

• Strategic Initiatives: Take strategic initiatives from idea to execution plan, including business case, roadmap, milestones, and stakeholder alignment.

• Leadership Decision Support: Prepare board-level and leadership materials that turn complex information into clear decisions.

Must-haves

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) and 1–2 years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, strategy, research, or a startup context

• Strong research and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel

• Comfort working with spreadsheets/data tools and standard AI productivity software

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English

• Eligibility to work in Germany

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce)

• Background in market research, competitive analysis, or due diligence

• Basic experience with automation or no-code tools, and an interest in streamlining recurring workflows

• Basic familiarity with AI/ML concepts (no coding required)

• Proficiency in German (spoken and written)

What we offer

This is a 6-month full-time position with the option to extend to 12 months based on mutual fit and performance. Compensation ranges from 2,550–2,800 € gross per month, depending on experience and skill set.

From day one, you will work closely with two members of our leadership team on topics that directly shape our commercial growth. You will see how deals are built, how research translates into pipeline, and how a scaling AI company approaches its market – not from the outside, but from the inside.
