SAEKI - Manufacturing at software speed

SAEKI is building the operating system for autonomous factories - the infrastructure that lets Europe manufacture mission-critical components at software speed.

The Role

As a Metrology Technician, you own measurement truth at Factory ONE. Every part that leaves the factory - 5-axis milled, SLS-printed, or metal AM - gets paid only if it's proven in spec. You run the CMM, the CT, and the scanners, and you turn a drawing into a measurement plan and a measurement into a report a customer signs off.
You own the data that says we built it right.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years hands-on dimensional metrology in a manufacturing environment - aerospace, defense, automotive, medical or precision machining.
• EN9100-aligned Mindset. All activities you perform are according to EN9100:2018. From receiving to non-conformity creation to release the parts with CoC. Your daily work lives under EN9100:2018 umbrella. Experience/basic understanding is a big plus.
• CMM Depth. Programming and operating tactile CMMs from scratch: fixturing, alignment strategy, probe qualification, feature extraction. PC-DMIS strongly preferred (we run a Hexagon Maestro); Calypso/Metrolog experience translates.
• Reporting That Holds Up. FAI per EN9102, PPAP/ISIR, measurement uncertainty, MSA/Gage R&R. Your reports survive a customer's quality department without a phone call.
• Calibration Ownership. You run the tool & equipment calibration/maintenance and traceability program (DAkkS/ISO 17025 chain) - hand tools, thread gauges, surface roughness, hardness - and keep the register audit-ready.
• Shop-Floor Instinct. You understand how clamping, thermal drift, tool wear and print orientation show up in the measurement - and you feed that back to the machinist and the printer before the next part runs.
• Systems Builder. You'll help stand up the Quality Room from day one: procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, environmental control (temperature, cleanliness), CMM/CT/scanner integration into our data stack. EN9100 certification (target Q1 2027) is built on your records.
• Language: Fluent German for the shop floor, working English for customers and the Zurich team.
• On-site: Ability to work in person at Factory ONE in Munich, Germany.

What we're not looking for

• CMM operators who only run existing programs. You write them from a drawing and a blank part.
• Inspectors who stop at pass/fail. The measurement is the start of the conversation with production, not the end.
• People who need a mature QMS to be handed to them. You're building it while parts ship.
• Anyone who treats "the CMM said so" as the answer without asking whether the alignment, the fixture or the probe was right.
• Engineers uncomfortable with rapidly changing priorities or first-of-a-kind parts every week.
