Job Description:

Job Summary: The Compliance Senior Associate will assist with the Company’s SEC and SOX compliance functions, as well as other compliance related matters. This position will be responsible for documenting internal control testing, as well as supporting the finance team during internal and external audits. Our ideal candidate is proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset and enjoys working in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the testing of internal controls
• Document process narratives and keep internal control matrix up to date
• Assist during the risk assessment process
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, which includes proper task management, review of and validation or supporting information, and the ability to identify incorrect support.
• Function as liaison between auditors (internal/external) and Finance, Human Resources, or IT departments.
• Respond to inquiries from management regarding financial results or other ad-hoc reporting requests.
• Maintain continuous improvement efforts and improve internal processes as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting required.
• CPA or CPA Candidate Preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience working for a public accounting firm with exposure to SOX 404(b) audits required.
• Experience auditing and/or working with publicly traded entities.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft office applications, such as Word and Excel
• Adequate technical accounting experience
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, and strong organizational skills.  
• Ability to multi-task and deliver accurate work products during busy periods.
• Ability to consider business and financial implications of projects and transactions.
• Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work products.
• Understands the team concept and has a strong desire to be a contributing teammate.
