GENERAL FUNCTION: 

This role leads part of an Inside Sales organization responsible for a $1.3B annual production run rate across multiple verticals including but not limited to healthcare, SBA, and Small Business lending. This production scope requires leadership of a fast‑cycle, incentive‑driven sales organization. This role is accountable for tactical leadership of a multi‑layer Inside Sales team, including Team Leads and individual contributors, ensuring consistent daily throughput, application quality, and adherence to defined underwriting workflows. The Inside Sales Manager, Small Business executes division‑level strategies designed by the Director of Inside Sales and translates them into day‑to‑day team performance, coaching, and process execution. They also maintain operational discipline by monitoring Reg B–related timeliness, application aging, pipeline accuracy, and documentation requirements, escalating exceptions to senior leaders as needed. This includes coordinating with Credit and Closing partners to ensure applications move through established SLAs and that borrower experience standards are met.

While operating within the Banks risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee a multi‑layer sales hierarchy (Individual Contributors through Team Leads) and ensure consistent throughput in a high‑volume production environment. Execute daily oversight of application flow, SLA adherence, queue management, and capacity alignment, ensuring movement of high‑velocity pipelines. Partner with Credit and Closing to resolve operational bottlenecks and escalate exceptions, ensuring timely decisioning and strong borrower experience.
  • Strategy: Translate divisional productivity strategies into actionable team plans, including call cadence expectations, funnel management routines, and quality control checkpoints. Oversee execution of the end‑to‑end sales lifecycle, from lead engagement through accepted proposal, ensuring consistent application quality and adherence to defined credit packaging standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including monitoring adherence to Reg B timeframes and application documentation standards, escalating concerns to senior leadership as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide day‑to‑day leadership and skill development for Team Leads, including coaching on sales execution, pipeline management, and borrower lifecycle processes.
  • Support succession readiness by developing emerging leaders within the Inside Sales team; escalate long-term leadership bench needs to the Director.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3-5 years management experience including successful team leadership and development in a sales environment preferred.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced SBA lending environment, with deep working knowledge of SBA 7(a), 504, and Express loan programs
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly, manage teams through organizational change, and build scalable closing processes in high-growth environments
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SBA SOP guidelines, deal structuring, pipeline management
  • Experience leading multi-layer sales teams or equivalent leadership responsibility in a fast‑cycle, production‑oriented environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to have successfully coached and directed a team scope of sales abilities and enhanced customer experience.
  • Ability to create and manage reporting metrics for the team, i.e. proficient in Excel, Business Objects

Total Base Pay Range 82,100.00 - 172,500.00 USD Annual
