Senior Lead Technology Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a professional passionate about IT applications within Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product and people management, software development methodologies, and a deep understanding of the business value driven by digital transformation in technical domains. As part of a global digital initiative, this role focuses on transforming organizational processes and implementing advanced business services and digital platforms.

This position is for an experienced HPC Specialist based in our technology center. You will be responsible for daily product ownership activities, release management, and the technical implementation of deployments within the PLM services domain.

The successful candidate shall also establish team goals by evaluating, identifying & understanding the business strategy and technical trends as well. They shall accomplish the team results/performance by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, coaching and driving the the team in the right direction

 

Qualification & Experience:

• Engineering graduate/post-graduate with 10+ years of total experience in developing, delivering and managing IT solutions. 

  • 3+ years of experience in project or product delivery management.

  • 2-4 years of Business Process Analysis

  • 2-4 years of Data Analytics experience

  • 2-4 years of Subcontractor Management experience 

  • Ability to work with a range of technical staff to develop joint solutions

  • Hands-on experience in cloud platform management is required. Experience in Scientific Computing and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments is an added advantage.

  • Able to work with International teams. 

• Technology-related experience:

  • Demonstrated capabilities to define and drum-beat Delivery Quality guidelines and resolve issues on Delivery Quality

• High level of energy, strong drive & ability to adjust to changing priorities and making quick decisions with limited information are essential attributes in this role

• Experience working with Agile/ SAFe project methodologies 

• Experienced in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders transnationally

Responsibilities:

Core Technical & ART Leadership

• Functions as a Lead Technology Consultant, with a preferred focus on High-Performance Computing (HPC) ecosystems.

• Actively lead activities within collaborative design, simulation, and scientific computing teams.

• A defined product Vision & Strategy in line with the Business Vision

• Coordinate and drive convergence between corporate functions and various business divisions.

• Operational Risks and Opportunities efficiently identified and mitigated for the product.

• Experience in HPC services, Infrastructure Administration and Service management

• Experience in preparation of RFI/RFP documentation and Vendor Management

• Strong knowledge of Infiniband setups and MPI

• Understanding of interconnected multi cluster HPC environments is desirable

• Understanding of HPC facility infrastructure (electricity, cooling, Green-IT footprint) desirable but not mandatory  

• Understanding of HPC application envelope requirements and scalability (core vs memory vs IO)

• Knowledge of HPC benchmarking practices

• Knowledge of at least one cluster resource manager & job scheduler (preferably IBM LSF)

• Knowledge of cloud stack technologies, containerization and DevOps

• Experience with logging & event management tools such as Splunk, Grafana is a plus 

Business Activities Development and Projects Delivery

Product Operations

• Ensure capacity planning is defined and implemented for delivering planned activities

• Define the Make or Buy strategy and sourcing strategy for the product team

• Ensure resources (internal and external) are properly managed

• Design, implement and test solutions with the support of an implementation team and manage new releases from tool editors

• Support the business processes implementation and improvement for joiners, movers and leavers, as a digital representative

• Ensure consistent learning and benchmarking of our technology solutions with other companies

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Oversight

• Collaborate with Security Architects to manage risk assessment and security compliance processes.

• Collaborate with external suppliers on infrastructure maintenance, lead the coordination of priority incident resolution, maintain effective business communication, and serve as an HPC subject matter expert to contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and continuous service improvement.

Domain communications

• Communicate achievements to the business, end-users and within IM communities through various media

• Participate in external and internal events related to the product

Additional Responsibilities 

• Lead Large Solution Epic & Capabilities

• Perform KPI Management for the team.

• Contribute to the Product Vision & roadmaps. Ensure specific actions are taken to achieve the set goals. 

• Facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities

• Takes proactive action to ensure stable and secure applications and IT infrastructure to avoid potential service disruptions, attending to capacity planning and to information security.

• Define and organize Operational Follow-ups with the business stakeholders to track and follow through the various operational topics for the team

• Support strongly the recruitment and onboarding process of new team members

• Provide technical direction, develop and implement procedures and procure tools pertinent to the effective and efficient operation of the service delivery team.

• Monitor overall performance of services and timelines.

• Prepare, maintain and analyze service reports to address any possible delays/issues before it occurs.

• Identify and Distribute KPI/service reports weekly/monthly to key internal stakeholders and alert any potential issues.

• Escalate on time and propose mitigation/corrective action if service / project delivery is not meeting expectations.

• Develop, improve and implement processes with stakeholder agreement to ensure effective information flow to speed up the delivery timelines

• Ensure the availability of the team with proper backup plan to support the agreed service window

• Investigate customer concerns about service./ project, timeliness and quality. 

• Oversee training and development of service delivery team

• Willingness to support global time zones and shift schedules as required by business needs.
