- Provide direct patient care including education, wound management and medication administration in accordance with clinical protocols.
- Coordinate and manage patient care throughout each treatment day.
- Work collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists and Patient Services teams to deliver seamless care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure appropriate communication and follow-up.
- Adhere to radiation oncology nursing standards, clinical guidelines and medication management protocols.
- Use ISBAR for effective clinical handovers and communication.
- Demonstrate flexibility, reliability and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Learn and develop your oncology nursing skills with support from our experienced team.
We're interested in hearing from people who:
- Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Have a minimum of two years' post-graduate nursing experience (preferred).
- Have oncology nursing experience (desirable, but not essential).
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient-centred care.
- Are committed to delivering best practice and continuous quality improvement in line with the NSQHS Standards.
- Have sound clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
- Have experience in wound care management.
- Value teamwork, compassion and professional development.
Benefits of joining our team:
- Casual flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
- Monday to Friday outpatient clinic – no night shifts.
- Supportive, close-knit nursing team.
- Full training in radiation oncology nursing.
- Time to build meaningful relationships with patients throughout their treatment.
- Ongoing internal and external learning and career development opportunities.
- Convenient Wembley location close to shops, cafés and public transport.
- Uniform provided following probation.
- Access to free, confidential wellbeing, financial, nutritional, legal and counselling support for you and your family.
