Rad Tech - Imaging Services

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Radiologist, Imaging Supervisor and the Director, Ancillary Operations, this individual performs a variety of radiologic procedures and related duties within the limits of standard procedures of the department.

HOURS

Mondays 730a-8p

Thursdays: 7a-7p

Fridays: 730a-830p

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

1.        Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with Broadlawns Medical Center policies and procedures.   

2.        Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to changes in workload, schedule, department function and procedures. Actively participates  in creating a positive and harmonious work environment by demonstrating teamwork and cooperative, responsive behaviors.

3.        Meets/exceeds competency criteria specific to the task/duties of the position.

4.        Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence consistent with hospital-wide unit-specific standards.

5.        Completes all annual hospital-wide mandatory training within defined timeframe (i.e. safety, corporate compliance, confidentiality).

6.        Demonstrates competence in specified computer applications.

7.        Demonstrates behaviors of service excellence consistent with hospital-wide and department specific standards. 

8.        Demonstrates team work and cooperative, responsive behaviors to internal and external customers alike.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

1.        Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

2.        Certification by the A.R.R.T.

3.        Valid Iowa permit to practice.

4.        Consistently demonstrates a team approach to care.

5.        Demonstrates effective communication strategies.

6.        Familiarity with general computer applications.
