Sentara is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Location: Norfolk, VA- Sentara Leigh Hospital
Status: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Shift Evening (8 hour shift)
Hours: 2 p-10:30 p
Weekends: Every Other Weekend
Holiday Rotation

Pharmacy Technicians perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)

Sentara Leigh Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. We are also home to the region’s only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won’t heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
