The Opportunity

Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County seeks a detail-oriented, highly organized professional to serve as Operations Manager for the William A. Meyer Jewish Community Foundation (MJCF).

The MJCF manages approximately$175million in assets, an additional $90 million in documented legacy commitments, and approximately 110 donor-advised funds, serving one of the most dynamic Jewish communities in the country.

This role is the day-to-day operational hub of the DAF program and the broader philanthropic advisory practice —driving DAF and Priority Fund engagement and growth, approving grants and cash receipts, supporting Generational Philanthropy Services, coordinating board and committee meetings, preparing budgets, maintaining bequest and estate records, and serving as a cross-functional liaison to Marketing, Women's Philanthropy, and Grants & Stewardship.

The MJCF Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director, William A. Meyer Jewish Community Foundation, and works closely with Development, Finance, Marketing, and Grants & Stewardship to keep Foundation operations running smoothly, accurately, and on schedule.

What You Will Own

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) Program Management

• Drive growth and engagement across the DAF program, including identifying and helping implement new program ideas

• Serve as the DAF Committee liaison for the review and approval of new grantee organizations

• Serve as approver of record for grants ranging from $100 to $24,999, and for all cash receipts, ensuring consistent, well-documented review

• Produce the DAF program's quarterly newsletter

• Lead the successor advisor audit and related recordkeeping projects, ensuring fund succession plans stay current

• Plan and execute DAF Day programming and donor seminars

Generational Philanthropy Services (GPS) & Grants Liaison

• Manage Generational Philanthropy Services administration, including the Priority Fund, DAF participant coordination, and related reporting

• Partner with Development Officers to proactively engage priority DAF and Priority Fund holders, including GPS participants and other significant fund holders, through philanthropic conversations, generally at least annually and, where appropriate, up to quarterly, to understand their interests, share the impact of their giving, identify community needs and opportunities, and help guide future grantmaking

• For DAF and Priority Fund holders without an assigned Development Officer, serve as the primary relationship manager as appropriate, in consultation with the Executive Director

• Use knowledge of DAF and Priority Fund holders’ interests, past giving, and community needs to introduce relevant opportunities they may not otherwise consider, with the goal of increasing support for Federation and community priorities while helping donors make informed, meaningful grant decisions

• Partner with Finance, which provides routine DAF account and transaction support, serving as the Foundation liaison to help ensure donor questions are routed and resolved accurately

• Maintain supporting organizations, including meeting management and documentation

• Serve as the primary liaison to Grants & Stewardship to align fund activity, reporting, and donor communications

Governance & Board Operations

• Manage Board meeting logistics, including scheduling, agenda development, materials preparation, and follow-up communications

Budget & Financial Coordination

• Lead budget preparation for the Foundation in partnership with Finance and the Executive Director

Marketing & Communications

• Serve as liaison to Marketing for Foundation materials, website updates, and stewardship content

• Coordinate Donorsphere-related updates and ensure donor-facing content stays current and accurate

Women's Philanthropy Liaison

• Serve as liaison to Women's Philanthropy (WP) leadership to align processes and reporting across programs

Planned Giving Administration: Bequests & Expectancies

• Maintain the Bequest & Expectancies List, ensuring records are current, accurate, and well-documented

• Serve as a point of contact for required communications with attorneys, estate executors, and estate trustees regarding bequests and expectancies

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience in operations, program administration, or fund/gift administration within a nonprofit, foundation, or financial/professional services setting

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines

• Strong written communication skills, with experience producing donor-facing content such as newsletters or marketing materials

• Comfortable serving as an approver within defined authority levels, with sound judgment around financial controls and documentation

• Experience coordinating board, committee, or governance meetings a plus

• Credible, professional communicator who can liaise effectively with donors, professional advisors, attorneys, and estate representatives

• Familiarity with DAF administration, planned giving, or CRM/donor database systems is a plus but not required

Why This Role Stands Out

• Own a high-visibility slice of a large-scale, high-potential foundation platform

• Build hands-on expertise across DAF administration, Generational Philanthropy Services, governance, and planned giving

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Finance, Marketing, and Grants & Stewardship

• Play a meaningful role in strengthening Jewish philanthropy in Palm Beach County

• Work directly with sophisticated donors and their professional advisors
