Position Summary You will support end-to-end payroll operations for GSK India, ensuring accurate and timely pay for colleagues. You will work closely with HR, Finance, external providers and regional payroll leads. We value accuracy, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: - Process end-to-end payroll for employees and contractors in India, ensuring timely and accurate payments. - Prepare monthly payroll close tasks, reconciliations, and clear reports for Finance and stakeholders. - Maintain payroll records and support statutory filings for tax, provident fund and other social contributions. - Resolve payroll queries from employees, HR and managers with clear, confidential communication. - Support payroll audits, month-end controls, and ensure payroll data integrity and compliance. - Contribute to payroll system updates, testing and process improvement initiatives. Why You? Basic Qualification We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals: - Minimum 3 years hands-on payroll experience in India or a comparable payroll environment. - Practical knowledge of Indian payroll law, income tax, Provident Fund and other statutory requirements. - Experience with payroll systems and strong Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting. - Degree or diploma in Accounting, HR, Finance or a related field. - Strong attention to detail, confidentiality and ability to meet strict deadlines. - Clear written and verbal English communication skills. Preferred Qualification If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: - Experience with global HR systems such as Workday, SAP or similar payroll software. - Prior experience working with external payroll vendors or in a shared service model. - Exposure to payroll transformation, automation or controls projects. - Knowledge of payroll accounting and GL reconciliations. - Experience managing off-cycle payments, final settlements and complex payroll scenarios. - Strong stakeholder management skills and a customer-focused approach.
