Job Description
You will lead the front-end of proposal opportunities within an assigned market of the Lifecycle Services business. This includes managing the quoting, customer and sales contacts required to obtain planned level of incoming business. You will combine elements of Sales, Marketing and Engineering. Besides the generation of quotations and customer visits, you will be also responsible for being the liaison and technical expert to support appropriate market channels. This channel support includes providing application expertise of solutions for their specific industries. You will expect to manage the expectations of others, although there are no direct reports to it. We make associations between these expectations and activities in sales, proposals, engineering, project management, customers, and team management. The goal is to obtain shared goals for their specific industry business. We expect this position to provide booking levels determined by planned level requirements for their specific industries.
You will report to the Regional Business Manager Lifecycle Services, Andean Region.
Main Responsabilities:
• Functional
o Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and promote the features and benefits of new products and solutions and use this information in developing new customer opportunities for our business.
o Assist appropriate channels for business in contacting customers at appropriate management levels in the pursuit of systems and solutions business and maintaining present customers and customer base.
o Collaborates with sales, proposals, engineering, and project management to establish a value proposition and competitive positioning. They also develop pricing strategies to maximize revenue and gross margin dollars while minimizing risk. We base this on scope identification of system requirements in RFQ documents.
o Establish mitigation strategies by performing risk analysis working with Contracts & Negotiations. Define and delimit scope within documentation to assure its proper statement.
• Leadership
o Present solutions to customers at multiple levels.
o Responsible for following all company DOA procedures. An understanding of the proposal process, and the skills associated with proposal management, procedures and generation (i.e. iPE procedures, writing, costing, margin, Terms and Conditions).
• Interpersonal
o Communication with project teams to ensure that they have all of the information required to implement projects.
o Interface and provide direct input with other RA product groups such that the corporate marketing goals are united.
o Use creative approaches to deliver value to both customers and the company. Understand the RA product landscape, and new technologies, and educate resources on new business solutions for our customers.
• Business
o Make appropriate decisions based on current information and ensure adherence to existing company policy relating to delegation authority.
o Develop, jointly with Marketing Management, strategies that align with specific vertical sales activities.
o Supports efforts within region
o Searches for ways to deliver additional value and better support to customers
The Essentials – You Will Have:
• Bachelor of Science, degree in Business, Engineering or technology related
• English in a good communicative level, both spoken and written; Portuguese or Spanish (depending on native country).
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
• About (5) years of consultancy, proposal development, engineering delivery or project management experience
• Prior experience in industrial automation
• Experience in Oil & Gas industry
• Experience with MRP and Project Management systems
• Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
• Understand and use project management methodology.
• Understand Change Management principles.
• Hands-on facilitation of large end-to-end value streams.
• Capability of Experience balancing multiple sales opportunities.
• Leads cross-functional projects.
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and multicultural teams.
• Work with Global & Regional Teams and local partners to implement improvements (tools, best practices, compliance, and procedures).
• Comply with Global policies, standards, procedures, and protocols.
