Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Checkpoint in Maumelle, AR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer in an industrial location, you will help maintain a secure environment by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, support loss-prevention efforts, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access to the industrial location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access badges as authorized, and monitoring entry and exit points.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, docks, and restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and client contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least two years of security-related experience.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
