You will translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable information that supports leadership decision-making.

In your business partner capacity, you will build strong relationships with assigned department leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning efforts, provide analysis for strategic and operational decisions, and help leaders understand the financial implications of business initiatives.

Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for the ministry and departmental leadership, providing actionable insights, explaining performance drivers and recommending actions to improve future outcomes. Reporting responsibilities include financial results, operational metrics, staffing, compensation, capital expenditures and other ad-hoc reporting as needed.  Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reporting and related data.

  • Lead the annual budget and mid-year forecasting processes for assigned business functions. Partner with stakeholders to gather inputs, evaluate assumptions, analyze data and prepare recommendations for review and approval.

  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for assigned business functions. By building trusted relationships and collaborative partnerships with business leaders, you will provide financial insight and decision support, helping leaders understand the financial impact of key decisions while promoting financial stewardship and accountability.

  • Collaborate with the Financial Systems Team to ensure the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of Adaptive Planning and Office Connect data and reporting. Partner on report development, data validation, system testing and process improvements to support accurate, reliable and timely financial reporting.

  • Conduct research and stay abreast of economic trends and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects and processes as well as updating management and colleagues to assure successful and effective financial planning.

  • Consult with users across the ministry to develop, publish and enhance reporting solutions that support effective decision-making. Deliver reporting and analytics with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, timeliness and customer focus.

  • Work individually and cross-functionally on teams to conduct financial analysis projects such as creating financial models of "what if" scenarios for future planning decisions.

  • Evaluate and analyze issues such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, operating records and financial statements.

  • May coach other financial analysts and related staff concerning technical finance issues.

What Do You Bring?
