Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Assembler performs mechanical assembly operations and processes. This individual is responsible for reviewing order/drawings, pulling material and fabrication. Will require the ability to perform the following functions: read and interpret drawings, inventory RF scanner, forklift, vertical band saw, plastic welding, assembly and packing. The assembly role will require you to utilize vertical band saw, hot air welder, hand and pneumatic tools, as well as appropriate machinery. Knowledge of inventory control and computer skills are required.
Perform quality checks as needed and properly record results if necessary. Alert Leadsperson of any quality problems, part shortages, machine breakdowns or any other situations.
Responsibilities
- Perform production responsibility according to process standards
- Assemble product according to dimensional, functional, and cosmetic specifications
- Continuous repetitive assembling of parts and/or sub parts
- Maintain a safe work environment and assist in development of Safety SOPs
- Daily report production problems to Production Supervisor/Lead and participate in root cause solutions of these problems
- Perform other related duties as assigned by Production Supervisor/Lead
Experience and Skill Required
- Previous manufacturing assembler experience preferred but not required
- High School Degree or equivalent
- Experience working with standard hand and power tools
- Ability to work in a team setting
