The Global Procurement team drives Micron's growth through strategic sourcing, cost optimization, supplier partnerships, and supply chain resiliency initiatives. By employing market intelligence, data-driven decision-making, and emerging technologies such as AI, the team delivers measurable business value while supporting Micron's global operations.
As a Category Supplier Management Intern, you will support procurement and supplier management initiatives that drive cost savings, operational excellence, and strategic sourcing outcomes. You will work closely with procurement professionals and business partners to analyze market trends, support supplier management activities, and help advance AI adoption across Procurement processes.

### Responsibilities
- Support cost management and category strategies through market research, spend analysis, benchmarking, and should-cost modeling activities.
- Assist with strategic sourcing initiatives by analyzing supplier and market trends, supporting supplier segmentation, and developing category recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal team members and suppliers to support business objectives and deliver customer-focused procurement solutions.
- Analyze procurement metrics, market intelligence, and supplier performance data to find opportunities for savings and process improvements.
- Support AI adoption initiatives by identifying use cases, developing training materials, tracking adoption metrics, and promoting responsible use of AI-enabled solutions.

### Minimum Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, research projects, academic projects, leadership activities, or professional experience in procurement, supply chain, business, analytics, engineering, or related fields.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of September 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated interest in AI-enabled tools and technologies, including generative AI and large language models (LLMs).

### Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship, research, or project experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, operations, business analytics, or project management.
- Experience analyzing data using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar analytical tools.
- Knowledge of procurement, category management, supplier management, strategic sourcing, or supply chain concepts.
- Experience applying AI tools, automation, or data-driven technologies to improve business processes or workflows.
- Demonstrated leadership through student organizations, project teams, community involvement, or work experience.
- Strong interest in procurement transformation, supplier strategy, digital innovation, and continuous improvement.
