When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.”With this position, you will also serve as a Lead Podiatry Physician. This role combines a comprehensive general podiatry practice with dedicated wound care clinic responsibilities and active participation in a collaborative limb preservation program. You will work alongside a well-established team of orthopedic surgeons, including a fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon, providing exceptional patient care across both clinic and hospital settings. In addition, you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary wound care team consisting of a wound care physician, physician assistant, and specialized wound care nurses to deliver coordinated, high-quality inpatient and outpatient care focused on wound healing, limb preservation, and optimal patient outcomes.
About this role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Podiatrist to support a multidisciplinary limb preservation program focused on coordinated wound care, limb salvage, and prevention of avoidable amputations. In addition, the candidate can anticipate to:
Serve as an active member of the Enterprise Limb Preservation Steering Committee by reporting program outcomes, advancing best practices and systemwide standards, and escalating issues that require enterprise-level action to improve limb salvage and reduce preventable amputations.
In collaboration with operational and nursing leadership; support complex case review, promote adherence to evidence-based clinical pathways, address barriers to care, and strengthen transitions from hospitalization to ambulatory follow-up.
Additional Position Details
You will practice at Intermountain Health McKay-Dee Hospital and Orthopedic Podiatry Clinic in Ogden, Utah
Take general podiatry emergency room call coverage of 7 days per month; potentially as consecutive days or one week per month
Work clinic schedule consisting of 2 podiatry clinic days, 1 surgical day, and 2 wound care clinic days per week
Have nurse practitioner support available in the podiatry clinic
An ideal candidate will have
Board-qualified or board-certified Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with wound care or limb preservation experience
Demonstrated interest in expanding clinical scope and contributing to a multidisciplinary limb salvage program

What you’ll bring
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM); or board eligibility or certification
Completion of graduate medical education training program in Podiatry of practice
Active Medical Licensure, or in process of obtaining licensure, is required in the state in which physician will practice
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
DEA Registration schedules II-V
