Description

Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.

Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 750,000 patients worldwide.

We are looking for an experienced social media leader to own and run Heartflow's social media using the latest content tools and technology to deliver polished, professional content that resonates with our audiences.

Reporting to the VP, Brand and Marketing Communications, this role will lead Heartflow's social media strategy and execution — building share of voice, growing our audience, and deepening engagement with healthcare providers, patients, and the broader cardiovascular community. This role owns organic and paid social programs, channel strategy, community management, and Heartflow's Healthcare Provider (HCP) engagement program, helping position Heartflow as a leading company in AI-driven coronary artery disease (CAD) management.

The ideal candidate brings deep social media fluency, strong creative judgment, knowledge and passion for using AI-powered tools to achieve our goals, and a rigorous, metric-driven approach to content and channel performance, and is excited to help shape the voice of a leading company in AI-driven cardiovascular care.

Job Responsibilities

  • Channel Strategy & Content Creation: Define Heartflow's channel strategy across major social platforms and build a content creation plan specifically for social channels; develop evergreen Heartflow awareness content for physician and healthcare provider audiences; evaluate and expand into emerging social channels to reach target audiences.
  • Organic Content & Paid Amplification: Own a unified social content calendar across LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Instagram, planning ahead around product launches, marketing moments, and earned-media opportunities while staying nimble enough to react quickly; lead social paid media amplification; evaluate current organic social processes and put in place efficiencies to reduce burden and improve output; recommend and oversee implementation of new channels/technology when appropriate.
  • Community Management: Drive reach by proactively engaging wherever Heartflow is mentioned or relevant industry content appears; build and maintain an engagement plan and comments library, prioritizing and actioning posts for engagement.
  • HCP Engagement Management: Lead Heartflow's engagement program, partnering with field teams and agency resources to build physician engagement, drive personal connection to Heartflow, and grow brand credibility among clinical audiences.
  • Employee Activation: Reactivate and grow employee engagement on social channels through regular, shareable content.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing and Medical Affairs to ensure all social content and community engagement activities meet Heartflow's brand and compliance standards.
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs across social initiatives to continually measure and adjust content strategies and maximize the impact of each channel. Create dashboards and reports to communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Agency Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for external social media agencies and designers, managing all deliverables, budgets, and maximizing the value of these relationships.

Skills Needed

  • Native fluency in LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and Instagram, and content management/measurement tools, with a deep understanding of platform best practices and emerging trends.
  • Strong track record building and executing social media strategy, organic content, and paid social amplification across major social platforms, with the ability to evaluate and pilot emerging channels.
  • Comfort designing within programs like Canva or Figma; able to produce a clean graphic, social tile, or simple template without waiting on design.
  • Comfort using AI-powered tools and workflows to support content creation and productivity.
  • Comfort with social listening and analytics tools (e.g., Sprout, Brandwatch, native platform analytics).
  • Experience building community management frameworks, including engagement plans and comment/response libraries.
  • Demonstrated experience developing engagement or KOL programs, ideally within healthcare or another regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered tools to drive efficiency and enhance results.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to manage multiple content workstreams in parallel, moving each through the appropriate layers of review and approval across the organization.

Educational Requirements & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in social media management with progressive leadership responsibility; experience in healthcare, medical device, or another regulated industry preferred.
  • Exceptional written, visual and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and consistency to brand voice. Experience working with video and motion graphics is a plus.
  • Experience selecting and managing external agency partners and coordinating cross-functional and regulatory/compliance stakeholders.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience defining, tracking, and reporting on social media KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape and emerging trends; experience in medical devices, digital health, or cardiovascular fields is a plus.

A reasonable estimate of the yearly base compensation range is $155,000 - $202,000, bonus, and equity.
