Job Title: Contract Expert – Rail Metro Projects

Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

This role requires to manage contractual, commercial, and claims-related activities for Rail Metro projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, protection of company interests, effective risk management, and maximization of commercial opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

What will you do?

1. Contract Management

  • Administer customer and subcontract agreements from project award to closeout.
  • Interpret contract terms and advise project teams on contractual obligations and entitlements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements.

2. Claims & Change Management

  • Manage variation orders, change requests, EOT claims, and commercial claims.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contractual notices and claim submissions.
  • Ensure timely identification and recovery of contractual entitlements.

3. Commercial Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
  • Support project teams in managing contractual exposures and opportunities.
  • Advise management on commercial strategies and claim positions.

4. Commercial & Financial Support

  • Support project budgeting, cash flow, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Assess commercial impact of project changes, delays, and variations.
  • Contribute to achieving project margin and profitability targets.

5. Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the focal point for contractual matters with customers, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in commercial negotiations and dispute resolution discussions.
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.

6. Procurement & Subcontract Management

  • Support preparation, review, and negotiation of subcontract agreements.
  • Manage subcontractor claims, variations, and contractual performance.
  • Ensure contractual alignment between client and subcontract agreements.

7. Dispute Resolution & Project Closeout

  • Support resolution of contractual disputes through negotiation and settlement.
  • Lead final account settlement and contract closeout activities.
  • Ensure completion of all contractual obligations and documentation.

8. HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure contractual compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements.
  • Promote adherence to company governance and compliance standards.

Experience, Education and other Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical,/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering
  • FIDIC, PMP, MRICS, CCM, or similar certifications preferred.
  • 10–15 years of Contract/Commercial Management experience.
  • Minimum 7 years in Metro Rail, OCS, 3rd Rail, Traction Power, Railway Electrification, or Infrastructure EPC projects.
  • Experience with EPC/Turnkey projects and FIDIC-based contracts.
  • Preferred Industry Experience - Metro Rail, Railway Electrification, Urban Transit, Transportation Infrastructure, Power Transmission & Distribution, and Large EPC Projects.
